Landlubber's Valentine Size: 11" x 11" Media: materials from the land (branches, bamboo, lichen, plants, seeds, corn, peacock feathers, pinecone, japanese lantern, mica, pasta), glass beads, iridescence fabric, paper clay, cardboard, watercolors, and glue. Why I choose these mediums This piece is what I would imagine a person who lives on the land  making for her valentine who lives on the sea. It is made of  items from the land  to reflect the life that she knows. The subject matter is plants and animals from the sea, since that reflects the world her sweetheart resides in.
