Sailor's Valentine Size: 11" x 11" Media: materials from the sea (sea shells, sea urchins, and starfish), glass beads, paper clay, and glue. Why I choose these mediums This piece is what I would imagine a sailor making for his valentine who lives on the land. It is made of  items from the sea to reflect the life he knows. The subject matter is plants and animals from the land, since that reflects the world his sweetheart resides in.
