Bone Tree size: 9" x 12" Media: Bones, Scales, and Sponges, dyed with inks.Wood panel painted with iridescent acrylics. Why I choose these mediums I wanted to have an artwork that was about the dicodomy of life and death. So I created a tree, and plants out of items that were already dead. The tree's branches are made of chicken bones, while the leaves are made from fish scales. The grass is made from sponges and plants are made from fish scales. This was a fun project to create - especially boiling the chicken bones, and dying the sponges.
